The Goal is Souls

Psalm 126:6

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. 

For 2019 our goal must be reaching the lost souls of Napa Valley with the Gospel!

Remember in Alice in Wonderland, when Alice came to the crossroads that led in two different directions? It was here that she met the Cheshire Cat and asked him for advice.

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

Goals give us direction, a way to go.  Goals give us purpose.

As Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, but in what direction we are moving.”

Someone once wisely said, “He who has nothing for an objective usually accomplishes it.”  But the opposite of that is also true: “He who has a single minded determination toward a fixed objective usually obtains it.”

For New Life Napa in 2019, “Souls” must be our goal!  We continue with focus evangelism and becoming Disciple Makers, finding just one person to Pray for, and  share with them the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! 

When Paul said, “I press toward the mark…” he gave us an example, but he also said, “I have finished my course.”  (Phil 3:14, 2 Tim 4:7)   He achieved the goal, he accomplished his mission.  We too can accomplish our mission in 2019!
