Glory To God

Glory To God

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men”

Imagine yourself on the side of a hill, shepherding a flock of sheep, and gazing into the starry sky.  Then the spectacular and majestic appearance of an army of angels, “ten thousand times ten thousand” (Dan 7:10), made their appearance into this physical world praising and crying out to God.  What a night, what a joyous occasion, to see into the spiritual world and hear the declarations of the angels of God declaring His glory!   It’s a scene never to be forgotten!

Even more than the event itself, the message declared by the heavenly host is as vibrant today as the moment it was spoken two millennia ago, “glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!”  The peace they extolled is the peace of reconciliation; the good will between God and man.

The alienation and the separation, the struggle and divisiveness, restlessness and fear caused by sin is now being solved; solved by the birth of the “Savior, which is Christ the Lord”!

We, and the angels praise God for his wonderful birth and the redemption he has purchased for our salvation!

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven” (Col. 1:20).
