Watch Therefore

Watch Therefore

For the last several months there has been an urgency in my spirit concerning the soon return on Jesus for his bride.  The Bible gives us warning repeatedly to watch, be aware, look, and love his returning.

Both the Old and New Testaments are filled with promises of the return of Christ. There are 1,845 references to it in the Old Testament, and a total of seventeen Old Testament books, nearly one-third, give it prominence.  Of the 260 chapters in the entire New Testament, there are 318 references to the Second Coming, or one out of every thirty verses. Twenty-three in the 27 New Testament books refer to this great event. The four remaining books include three which are single-chapter letters written to individual persons on a particular subject, and the fourth is the Book of Galatians, which implies Christ’s coming again. For every single prophecy of the birth of Christ, there are eight prophecies of Christ’s second coming.

Scripture firmly establishes his second coming!

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come”  (Matthew 24:42).

Stay alert, watchful and hopeful for his soon return!

The Apostle John at the conclusion of his book telling about the events of the end-time, wrote about the beautiful Holy City called the New Jerusalem. John concluded his prophetic book by quoting what our Lord said: “Surely I come quickly.” John responded, “Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20).

The church anxiously awaits the coming of Christ. Every day is a new day looking for His return. While the wicked continue in their ways and do not understand, the wise and alert person understands and says, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

So with this note I remind and comfort you with these words – Jesus is coming soon!
